The Hart Street Tavern snatched a spot just shy of Henley Bridge in 2019 and has been sitting pretty ever since, serving locals and giddy Regatta goers its locally-sourced all day menu that takes in everything from bottomless brunch ands kids menus through to Sunday lunch through to dinner.

The brainchild of restauranteur duo David Holliday and Alex Sergeant (you’ll know them from The Bottle & Glass Inn over in Binfield Heath and Stag & Huntsman in Hambleden), this chic restaurant and bar swaps out its sister pubs’ rural vibe for a contemporary cool aesthetic – think banquette seating, huge swathes of natural light, an open kitchen and retro down lighters,

Very much part of the local community, the Hart Street Tavern holds regular events – everything from Breakfast With Baby to Breakfast with Santa (16 Dec – hold the date!). You can book the venue for private parties – it holds up to 80 max, or you can entertain small parties up to 16 in the Private Dining Room, or up to 30 in the Conservatory. There’s also a small outdoor garden, ideal for the languid summer months. Dogs are welcome in the tavern area and garden at all times, as well as the restaurant during breakfast and lunch hours.
