The Royal Oak is a real hidden gem. You’ll find it up a hill, off the beaten track, a mile or two outside of Marlow. Inside it has everything you’d expect from a quintessential English pub – nooks and crannies galore, exposed brickwork, wooden floors and a lovely tiled bar area ideal for relaxing with family and friends. There’s also a cosy snug with a wood burning stove – the prime spot for curling up with a glass of wine in winter.

The pub is a great summer haunt too with a large garden and groovy teepee that you can hire out for special events and table tennis for the competitive (me! me!). The kitchen serves up a mix of small plates, a la carte and much loved Sunday lunch, offering a more refined take on your classic pub grub. Table for two, please!
