With its constantly evolving wine list, Slurp has gained a reputation for quality wines at exceptional prices. The Banbury store, close to Banbury train station, gives you the opportunity to go for a swift tasting sesh before deciding on which lorry load of wine you want delivered. Light and airy with knowledgeable staff, it’s rather a nice place to just hang out. Slurp’s ethos is to track down excellent wines from small winemakers, up-and-coming producers and more established vineyards, and they’re particularly adept at buying similar wines from neighbouring makers of popular and more expensive wines – average prices hover around £10-15 which is amazing value for the quality.
