Time for tea? You betcha. The Tea Set in Chipping Norton won Best Café at the Muddy Awards in 2017 and they’ve been serving up the best cream teas, fairy cakes, macaroons and elegant sandwiches in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds ever since.

Originally a catering business called Chipping Norton Tea Set specialising in afternoon teas (still going strong), it was clearly only a matter of time before bricks and mortar would become involved. Expect vintage mixy matchy crockery, a chintzy homely vibe and some killer sponges right on the Chipping Norton high street. But no need to leave it at cake and coffee – the Tea Set also offers lunch, dinner, pre-theatre bubbles and pretty much whatever you’re looking for in between. For those further into the Cotswolds, there’s also a Tea Set in Broadway.
