The Angel is a relaxed, authentically ‘pubby’ 500 year old pub down a pretty side street in the picture-perfect Cotswolds town of Burford, and a winner of Cotswold Pub of the Year in 2015, 2016 and 2017.

Think gorgeous nooks, crannies and beams and a higgledy piggledy interior that has acres of personality. The Angel  punches above its weight on the food front with an AA rosette and also offers three bedrooms if you’re enjoying yourself so much in Burford you can’t be bothered to go home.

You’ll find nibbles for bar-snackers through to evening diners plus a small, picturesque garden for warm days that was landscaped in 2017. It’s great for groups of friends, drop-in thirsty types wanting a pint and nibbles, and those wanting a good value quality place to eat and rest their heads in the self-styled ‘gateway to the Cotswolds’. There is an outdoor covered gazebo with heating for Autumn gatherings and a take away menu is also available during this time.
