The White Oak opened in the lovely village of Cookham in November 2008 and has a sister ‘Oak’ in Gerrards Cross called The Three Oaks which opened in July 2011.

In 2012 the pub won its first Michelin Bib Gourmand at The White Oak, and has gone onto receive it every year since through to 2020. This award champions good food and service at a reasonable price. It also features in the AA Restaurant & Guide, Good Food Guide, Alastair Sawday’s and both the Michelin Red & Pub Guides.

The seasonal menus change regularly and offer fantastic Set Lunch & Dinner Menus; some say the best value in Bucks and Berks! These are available Monday to Saturday for Lunch and Dinner. There are also excellent A La Carte and Sunday Lunch menus; not forgetting the little ones with their own menu too. Since 2016 there has been a Bar Menu available Monday to Saturday for lunch and Dinner, so customers can pop into the Bar on a whim.
