Theatre on the Farm, near Long Crendon

Pairing theatrical charm with the beauty of the English countryside, Theatre on the Farm nails immersive adventures, farmyard fun and a matinee or night out like no other.

Like the sound of seeing your favourite dramatic classics, all in the beauty of Mother Nature? You’re going to absolutely love Theatre on the Farm. Nestled within the sprawling grounds of Lopemede Farm, Theatre on the Farm blends the great outdoors with brilliant, inventive shows – fulfilling all of your summer entertainment dreams.

Performances take place in the farm’s very chilled Mongolian yurt, as well as on the open-air stage. Expect imaginative, interactive productions, unlike any theatre trip you’ve experienced before. You might even find yourself wandering through fields alongside the cast as the audience becomes part of the story – yep, this is a place that takes breaking the fourth wall to the next level.

And when it’s time for the interval, there’s a bar on-site, with snacks and drinks more often than not tailored to the theatrical theme. Pre-show entertainment comes as standard too – the atmosphere here is nothing short of magical. So sold you fancy getting involved? Theatre on the Farm is always on the lookout for volunteers to become part of the action. Or, if you’d rather be centre stage than behind the scenes, you can sign up for one of its singing, acting or dancing workshops for adults and teenagers. Curtains, up!
