When it comes to promoting Buckinghamshire and the Chilterns, the stunning landscape, world-beating hospitality and fabulous artisan businesses across the area make bigging it up a somewhat fabulous job – and we’d know! Being the official ‘Destination Management Organisation’ for the area, Visit Buckinghamshire and The Chilterns works with many of our fave Muddy businesses to boost visits to the area and keep businesses trading.
The website – visitbuckinghamshire.org – is a mine of information and inspiration on places to visit, stay, eat and drink, and we especially love the itineraries page if you want them to put together your short break without the hassle of hours of scrolling yourself!
The travel information page is a good start for working out how to get around, especially if you want to ditch the car and travel by train, bus, taxi or even by bike. There’s also a page linking to the various tourist information centres and an events planning page, a real god-send for the conference and incentive market in particular as well as wedding planners or even if you’re celebrating a big birthday, because, why not!
As for what to do, from National Trust gems like Cliveden, Stowe and Waddesdon Manor to family days out including Bekonscot Model Village, Silverstone and Go Ape there’s plenty of inspo and even locals might find fresh ideas on new restaurants, pubs, restaurants, farm shops, breweries, vineyards and gin distilleries to visit (though not all in one day, darling!).
There’s always new businesses being added and the Visit Bucks insta is a dreamy lunch-time scroll if you want to be reminded of what a fabulous area we live in. Also check out the FB page and Twitter for the latest news and updates.
