They were one of our favourite local couples but the news of Helena and Tim’s split (way back in 2014) has now been trumped by a happier headline: their gorgeous Mill House is back on the market! It’s been a while since we’ve played our favourite game: ‘How Much?’, so let’s show you around this A-lister retreat. The magnificent Mill House is the former couple’s home and creative haven, and has links to Helena’s great-grandfather, Prime Minister Asquith. If you can guess the right price at the end of this feature, you will be in a draw to win the house. (Umm, this is a lie.) OK, shall we?

This is the Mill House, built in 1741 and set in the village of Sutton Courtenay, South Oxfordshire. It showcases classic Georgian design and its desirable details include blue shutters, a summerhouse and grounds with ancient trees.

You’re looking at a Grade II-listed, three storey, eight-bedroom beauty with cast-iron window boxes beneath 16-pane sash windows. Set in 17 acres, it boasts a croquet lawn, a rose parterre out back, its own rope bridge and a picture-perfect Thames view. I mean, look at this.

Inside, there’s a whole lot of space. I mean, how many reception rooms do you need? Here, take four, all radiating from the entrance hall on the ground floor.

There’s a light and comfy library room, with original sash windows and Georgian fireplace.

And a calm, almost sparse, study with only Burton’s poster of his film Ed Wood to suggest the creative energy flowing from this room.
