<p>It&#8217;s all guns blazing on the 30th anniversary tour of <em>Birdsong</em>, the stage adaptation of Sebastian Faulks&#8217;s bestselling First World War epic. This mesmerising tale of love and courage is coming to the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre from 11-15 Feb starring Max Bowden, best known for playing Ben Mitchell in&nbsp;<em>EastEnders,&nbsp;</em>James Esler<em>&nbsp;(Litvinenko)&nbsp;</em>and&nbsp;Charlie Russell<em>&nbsp;(</em>the BBC&#8217;s<em> And Then There Were None).</em> Quite simply, it&#8217;s not to be missed. <a href="https://www.atgtickets.com/shows/birdsong/aylesbury-waterside-theatre/calendar/2025-02-11" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Book here</a> sharpish before it sells out (age guidance 15+).</p>

<p>Straight from his inspirational <em>Strictly</em> victory with partner Dianne Buswell that left the nation in an emotional puddle, comedian Chris McCausland is hitting the road again with his stand-up show <em>Yonks</em>. The <em>Strictly</em> effect has catapulted Chris into the megastar league – so his Aylesbury tour date in Jan has already sold out, and when I checked tickets for Oxford in March, at the time of writing there were only a handful left. <a href="https://www.atgtickets.com/shows/chris-mccausland-yonks/new-theatre-oxford/tickets/E6552F12-D37A-4980-BBAA-E56ADF280D08">Nab the last few</a> pronto!</p>

<p>Fans of <em>Ted Lasso</em> will love <em>Show Pony</em> by comedian and actor Nick Mohammed, who plays Nate in the Apple TV drama. It&#8217;s a stand-up show by his character Mr Swallow (who&#8217;ll you know from <em>8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown</em>), covering everything from not having his own sitcom to not having his own sitcom, plus a whole load of new mistakes.
