<p>The life-sized puppet horses in&nbsp;<em>War Horse</em>&nbsp;are like nothing you’ve seen before. They are works of art &#8211; so realistic, you’ll be convinced Joey the horse is about to wander off stage for a snack. The Handspring Puppet Company has created stunning, life-like horse puppets operated by three genius puppeteers who breathe, snort, and gallop in unison so that, by the end of Act One, you’ll forget Joey isn’t made of flesh and blood and will probably want to adopt him.</p>

<p>What follows is a story of love, loss, and what feels like 18,000 heart-wrenching moments designed to make you sob like a baby. Think of it as&nbsp;<em>Marley &amp; Me</em>&nbsp;with hooves. <p><em>War Horse</em> gives you a raw, emotional insight into the role horses played in WWI. Over a million horses were sent into battle, and while this production only focuses on one — Joey — you’ll be struck by the bravery of these noble creatures. They were true war heroes in their own right, and it’s impossible not to feel moved by their sacrifice. Albert’s journey to find Joey, meanwhile, gives us a unique look at WWI through the eyes of the everyman — the young soldier who’s just trying to survive and make it back home.</p>
