Remember that sad day three years ago when<a href="https://www.instagram.com/reel/DJEdUEoojOK/?igsh=MTExajFhbXRrM3p0dw%3D%3D"> Oli&#8217;s Thai </a>closed? Well now, they&#8217;re coming back, baby. Reclaiming their old spot in East Oxford on Magdalen Road, the restaurant will be reopening in September with some new additions to the menu as well as the good old classic dishes as before. However, there&#8217;s no rose without a thorn. The opening of Oli&#8217;s Thai comes with a sad goodbye to Elle&#8217;s Deli which will close end of July. More information on bookings and opening hours is soon to come, so watch this space!

Holding it&#8217;s crown as one of Oxford&#8217;s most beloved dining spots, Spanish tapas restaurant<a href="https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/arbequina-oxford-covered-market" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Arbequina</a> is opening a new site in Oxford Covered Market, and they&#8217;ve set up a Crowdfunder for your help. After opening in 2016 at former chemist on Cowley Road, Arbequina&#8217;s new site will be at the old Blue Blood sports shop location &#8211; remember that place? No, us neither. The restaurant plans to have a new zinc bar running the length of the restaurant, with an open kitchen, and they are just £50,000 off of their goal. What&#8217;s in it for you? Arbequina have put together a rewards scheme which allows you to purchase meals, benefits, and other experiences in exchange for your contribution. Invest now, eat later – far tastier than stocks and shares. 



Muddy Award&#8217;s winner of 2024 <a href="https://gingerwings.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Ginger Wings</a> has relaunched its Marlow shop with a big ambition to go global. After a fiery glow-up at The Crafty Taproom, co-owners Jack Blumenthal (yep, son of the Heston Blumenthal) and Leigh Jones are serving up the restaurant experience you&#8217;ve been craving &#8211; with wings worth crossing counties for. But it&#8217;s not just about the bird &#8211; Jack&#8217;s pinched a top-tier bartender from The Hinds Head in Bray (cheers to dad) to shake up a killer cocktail list. Fast food? You betcha. Henley&#8217;s culinary scene is about to get a serious glow-up as the historic Market Place pub,<a href="https://thethreetunshenley.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> The Three Tuns</a>, is reopening under new ownership. On Tues 27 May, power duo Nigel Sutcliffe (owner of Marlow&#8217;s The Oarsman), and Barry Wagner (owner of butchers Gabriel Machin), will be behind the pubs transformation, cooking up a menu that&#8217;s a foodie&#8217;s heaven. Think premium ingredients from Gabriel Machin, and tastefully varied main courses and starters. Under the expert eye of Head Chef Scott Smith, advocate for local produces, you’ll find fresh, flavourful dishes that change with the seasons &#8211; mouth watering, right?&nbsp;The pub&#8217;s courtyard will also host The Boat Shed, a more relaxed offshoot with a burger-focused menu. Ready to dine with a bit of edge? It&#8217;s time to get hungry.

Keep your eyes (and appetite) peeled for arrival of high-end patisserie, coming into the heart of Oxford this June. <a href="https://kneadbakery.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Knead Bakery</a> is expanding from its trio of county neighbours, bringing you all the flaky, buttery brilliance to the High Street. Helmed by Michelin-Star duo John Hawes and Kris Briggs, the bakery will be taking over the former site of women&#8217;s clothing brand Hobbs at 115 High Street (farewell floaty dresses, hello focaccia). Expect top notch coffee from Bristol&#8217;s Extract Coffee Roasters, plus plenty edible (and award-winning) temptations. Diet starts&#8230;never.
