<p>It’s not just the Thames that glitters when you arrive in Marlow. The town’s three Michelin stars add gourmet razzle dazzle, there’s chic shops with Royal Warrants and Marlow Rowing Club has produced more gold-medal winning Olympic rowers than you can shake an oar at (Sir Steve Redgrave and Zac Purchase MBE, we salute you). Marlow punches well above its postcode, and when the bunting comes out to signal that summer’s on its way, it becomes even more buzzy. <p>Pub in the Park is one of the town’s most stellar annual events and we’re told that this will be the biggest year yet, as the very lovely Higginson Park celebrates its 100th anniversary. On the invite list? You, as well as wall-to-wall celebrity chefs running pop-up restaurants and live cooking demos. Raymond Blanc OBE, James Martin, Matt Tebbutt, Atul Kochhar, <a href="https://glosworcs.muddystilettos.co.uk/life/people/gbbos-candice-brown-worcestershire/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Candice Brown</a> and <a href="https://muddystilettos.co.uk/wellbeing/nutrition/ready-to-glow-3-breakfasts-worth-getting-out-of-bed-for/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Emily English</a> are just a few big names you’ll bump into. The live music stages slap too; Craig David, McFly, Razorlight, Jools Holland &amp; his Rhythm &amp; Blues Orchestra and Gabrielle are all on the line-up. There’s also fresh new stages for 2026; The Author’s Table is the place to head for guest interviews and comedy, and the Firepit Stage is back by popular demand. Follow those divine smokey smells for the best BBQ of your life. As weekenders go, it’s sizzling.</p>

<p>A festival devoted to the finest prosecco in the world? We’re all ears. Marlow’s<a href="https://bucksoxon.muddystilettos.co.uk/little-black-book/directory/la-dolce-bolla-marlow-buckinghamshire-wine-bar/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> La Dolce Bolla</a> are proud purveyors of the crème de la crème of Italian bubbles, Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG (try saying that after a glass or two), and they’re toasting its excellence with a weekend-long celebration of top-notch producers. This is as far from a sugary bottomless brunch as it gets; meet the winemakers, sample over 30 styles of elegant, refined prosecco and enjoy the fizz as the Italians do. Namely, with delicious food and brilliant chat. Expect masterclasses, live music, and even yoga and pilates on the Sunday to aid your wind down into a new week. A heavenly way to start June, in short.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Glad rags on and boater hats at the ready; Marlow Town Regatta is the local sporting and social event of the summer. With 150-year-old heritage, thrilling rowing races and chic garden party vibes, the lawnside regatta attracts the local community and visitors alike. Hit the fun fair, grab a Pimm’s at the bar, tuck into artisan food offerings and kick back to live music in the breaks between races. The classic car display will please petrolheads, and in great British summer fête tradition, there’s a cake competition and dog show. You can even book a picnic pitch beforehand to really spread your wings for the weekend.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Pop/electronic DJs, a local rock band and the UK’s top Taylor Swift tribute are all on the agenda at this community music festival, run by volunteers to raise money to keep the local playing fields and play areas spick and span. Now in its thirteenth year, it’s a family-friendly party with circus workshops, a fairground and dancing aplenty, as well as mouthwatering street eats from the likes of Greeklicious and wood-fired pizza specialists Knead. Cool off with a pint of Marlow’s very own Rebellion beer and let the good times roll until well after sunset.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Speaking of the sun, it’s shining longest on <strong>21 June</strong>, so salute the very welcome extra daylight with a free evening of yoga, tucked away in peaceful, verdant Liston Court Gardens. The relaxing yoga session is run by Kaylani Yoga from 7pm – 8:30pm; sign up to clear your mind, stretch out your body and add some likely much needed midsummer calm to your schedule. You can connect with fellow yogis, whether you’re a beginner or a pro – just don’t forget your mat and a bottle of water. Comfy clothes recommended for max R&amp;R factor.&nbsp;</p>
