<p>If <a href="https://stowawayfestival.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Stowaway Festival</a> isn&#8217;t already on your radar then read on, because this three day lakeside shindig in Stowe is an absolute belter. Stowaway (<strong>16-18 August</strong> <strong>2024</strong>) is all about thoughtfully curated artists, small stages, woodland light shows, yoga, hot tubs and massages, plus some seriously good feasting &#8211; oh, and it&#8217;s kid-friendly. Here&#8217;s five reasons to nab your ticket, sharpish:</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-1-the-music">1/ The music</h2>

<p>Groove Armada and Leftfield sound up your strasa? Then look no further than the bucolic Bucks countryside to get your dance anthem kicks this summer. They&#8217;re headlining the <a href="https://stowawayfestival.co.uk/music-and-line-up/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">line-up</a> at Stowaway this year, together with a hotbed of emerging talent, so whether you&#8217;re a soul sister or a shape-throwing dance diva, you&#8217;re covered. Names to look out for: If Max Cooper isn&#8217;t on your playlist yet, check out this audio visual artist with a science PhD and who recorded the soundtrack to Greta&#8217;s COP26 doc. He&#8217;s got a perfect festival sound that&#8217;s mellow and electronic with mind-blowing visuals. Then there&#8217;s Greentea Peng with her mix of soul, dub and reggae;&nbsp;Cinthie, the Berlin-based Queen of House; LTJ Bukem, of drum n bass royalty; and lesser-known Me and My Friends, an Afro-beats influenced band with cello, clarinet and vocals. With these guys and so many DJs on the roster, plus the likes of Junior Jungle especially for the kids, you can expect to be dancing your little (welly) socks off. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-2-the-vibe">2/ The vibe</h2>

<p>When the sun goes down on Stowaway there&#8217;s no better place to be than waterside at The Jetty stage, drink in hand, watching the colours reflecting off the lake, or maybe having a sound bath in the woods, or perhaps chilling with your besties in the bell tent that didn&#8217;t have you weighing it up against a week in the Caribbean (<a href="https://stowawayfestival.co.uk/glamping/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">glamping</a>&#8216;s priced from £460 for two plus the ticket). Stowaway is all about chilled, beautiful moments in gorgeous surroundings. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-3-the-food">3/ The food</h2>

<p>You shall not be going hungry at Stowaway. Whether you&#8217;re after a quick top-up from a food truck or a full sit down affair with table service, it&#8217;s on a plate. The <a href="https://stowawayfestival.co.uk/food-and-drink/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">dining</a> options are yet to be finalised but you can expect feasting from the likes of celebrity chefs and bonkers foodie events like the Disco Bottomless Brunch, all available to book up ahead. If you want to eat on the move, this is not a hot dogs and soggy chips set-up. Think more along the lines of elevated street food, which last year included Yard Birds fried chicken, Filili Eats fusion Nepalese and Seven Lucky Gods, inspired by the Izakaya bars of Tokyo. Yea shall not starve.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-4-the-kids-stuff">4/ The kids stuff</h2>

<p>The kids side of things at Stowaway has got all ages covered with a roster of imaginative and interactive activities that are &#8211; and this is the best bit &#8211; free! With the littlies, make a beeline for Tootle &amp; Nibs immersive theatre and pirate school, meanwhile older ones will love the circus workshop, canoeing and paddleboarding, tree climbing, roller disco and new for this year &#8211; DJ workshops and family and kids yoga, all going down at <a href="https://stowawayfestival.co.uk/kids-kingdom/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Kids&#8217; Kingdom</a>. But wait for this revelation &#8211; Stowaway also offers nannies. Kids can settle down in the fairy-lit and beanbag-decked Mortimer Tent, listen to a story, play a board game by torchlight or watch a movie. Or you can book a nanny during the day if you want some R&amp;R sans small people. The. Dream.&nbsp;</p>

Still too much like hard work? Book yourself a facial or massage and settle into some proper relaxation with the gorgeous smells of Neal&#8217;s Yard oils to send you into a dreamlike haze.
