Go Ape, Black Park

Muddy says: Not many activities that can involve a family from toddler through to teen and beyond, but the adrenaline-fuelled tree top adventure of Go Ape in the beautiful Black Park, south Bucks, is one of them.

If you’re struggling to get your kids off their screens, Go Ape can come to your rescue. Part of a national chain of tree top adventures,  this Go Ape in south Bucks can make up a part of a whole day out, as Black Park offers 530 hectares to explore on foot, bikes or Segways, plus a large playground with café nearby.

The Tree Top Adventure (big calling card: the 166m zip wire at the end) is suitable for ages 10+ and is also dependent on height (if they’re not 4ft 7″ or over, they’ll refund you or offer the Tree Top Junior which is for 6+ years).  Even tinier tots? The latest addition to Black Park is the Nets Kingdom. This is an amazing network of really heavy duty treetop netting, ball play areas and tree houses for toddlers from 1 upwards. It’s rare to find an activity that is fun for all the family but perhaps adrenaline-seeking teens get the most out of it – the 16 and 17 year olds are welcome to supervise themselves.
