<p>GREAT idea to do a scoop on Vintage &#8211; you missed a brilliant one &#8216;Dare to Dream&#8217; in Princes Risborough &#8211; has mostly women&#8217;s cloths really well selected and some men&#8217;s classics (tweed jackets and very cool ties) and some other things I can never resist &#8211; silk scarves and funky handbags &#8211; all super quality controlled and actually measured so that the &#8216;size&#8217; on the tag (a 1970s size 12 is not what it would be today!) is a much more accurate guide to if it is going to fit you or not. Has amazing gowns/maxi dresses and blouses through to tailored jackets and LBD options..</p>

<p>This little vintage store was recommended to me by a Muddy reader and it&#8217;s a real gem. The clothes are hand-picked and high quality, all with modern sizings as well as showing their provenance, making the perusing all the more fun. It has women&#8217;s clothes, wedding outfits and some men’s classics as well as a rotating choice of accessories. </p>

<p>This store on Newport Pagnell&#8217;s High Street is basically the John Lewis of vintage, housing 45 different traders in a department store fashion across the two floors, alongside local indie brands. Expect an eclectic mix of furniture, jewellery, kitchenalia (yep, that&#8217;s a real word), clothing and collectables. </p>

<p>Based in Stony Stratford and online, The Siren Vintage sources luxury vintage pieces from various eras in history and has worked with film sets and theatres all over the country. The store sells vintage clothing and ephemera, but the real headliner is its beautiful jewellery selection, from delicate Victorian brooches to 1920s silver earrings. </p>

<p>You&#8217;ll have to put in the hard graft to uncover the goods at this bonkers shop on Oxford&#8217;s Ship Street, but trust me, it will be worth it (case in point, a gorgeous vintage satin kimono hanging in my wardrobe). The shop&#8217;s owner has a hoarder-esque approach to curation with mountains of clothes piled up floor to ceiling but that&#8217;s half of the fun, right?</p>

<p>Tucked away down St Clement&#8217;s, you&#8217;d be forgiven for walking straight past this quirky shop with its unassuming storefront. However, inside it&#8217;s a Tardis with three rooms of vintage goodies. Rummage through accessories and homeware on the top level plus pre-loved designer, then there&#8217;s The Retro Room at the back. It&#8217;s wall-to-wall with rails brimming with bargains. </p>

<p>Enter this charity shop on the right and you&#8217;ll find your usual high street cast-offs, books and DVDs. But take a left inside and the space transforms into a vintage treasure trove with an especially excellent homewares department. Best finds to date? A hot pink vintage M&amp;S chunky knit and set of 70s Champagne glasses. Weirdest find? A retro Marmite teapot! Its sister shop in Chipping Norton is worth a browse too. You never know, Taylor Swift may have made a donation during her Cotswolds sojourn this summer.</p>

<p>At 18,500 sq ft (wowzer) this superstore is the biggest Oxfam in the world with rails upon rails of opportunities to find a hidden gem. Put off by the size? Don&#8217;t be &#8211; the whole shop is organised into handy sections and more like a TK Maxx than your usual higgledy-piggledy charity shop. If you prefer shopping second-hand from your laptop there&#8217;s also a great vintage section <a rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label="online here (opens in a new tab)" href="https://onlineshop.oxfam.org.uk/shop/vintage" target="_blank">online here</a> including men&#8217;s, women&#8217;s and wedding dresses.</p>

<p>A staple on Cowley Road for over 10 years, Reign stocks a selection of European and designer clobber, from Seventies dresses to urban Nineties streetwear and an excellent denim offering. (Vintage Levi&#8217;s for £25? Yes please). You can also buy online, where stock is updated daily, or from the London outpost in Soho. </p>

<p>Open since 1984, this vintage emporium is a favourite among Oxford University students for finding beautiful, unique formal dresses (it&#8217;s also a goodie for fussy teens during prom season). The shop also sells a range of vintage clothing, accessories and homewares, with a fantastic costume department (Halloween incoming!). To refuel, there&#8217;s a Natural Food Emporium at the front of the shop selling locally farmed food, fresh pastries and coffee. </p>

<p>In need of a wardrobe refresh? For a stonking good entry price of £2 on <strong>Sat 11 Oct</strong>, this village hall will be home to pre-loved designer clothes from 10am to 1pm. It sits just in Baker&#8217;s Piece at the heart of Kingston Blount and is a stone&#8217;s throw from Thame. Expect no more than one-off steals, pre-loved designer items, and high street pieces with purse-friendly prices. Picture this: a hall filled with chic shoes, vintage handbags, and some serious style. We&#8217;ll be going home with bags full of outfits.</p>
