<p>Does Marlow need another beauty room? When it&#8217;s offering something as unique as <a href="https://thepeachmarlow.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Peach</a>, then yeah. Founder Nhung Pham cut the ribbon on her new business in 2025 as a holistic expansion of <a href="https://thepeachmarlow.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Tree Nail Spa</a>, which she opened with her husband, Nhan Nguyen, in 2011. Fun fact: Nguyen later swerved into an entirely new career, training at Le Cordon Bleu London before opening <a href="https://suumkitchen.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">SUUM Vietnamese Kitchen</a> in the town in 2017.</p>



<p>The big calling card at The Peach is its new <a href="https://thepeachmarlow.co.uk/head-spa/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Korean &#8216;Hyggee&#8217; Head Spa</a> experience. Pham trained under K-beauty legend Hewun Seolhye to master this wellness treatment which, despite currently dominating beauty editors&#8217; pages, is still hard to find in the UK. The Peach is the only beauty space to offer it in the region and, even in London, there are only a handful of practitioners.</p>

<p>The Peach is discreetly tucked away on a quiet side road close to Higginson Park, away from the bustle of the High Street. Outside, there&#8217;s a calming pistachio-green frontage with peach-coloured signage (of course) and oversized sculptural paper flowers in the window. Inside?&nbsp;Right up my street:&nbsp;curved Sixties-inspired bouclé sofas and chairs, earthy glass and wood finishes, terracotta planting, a stone Buddha, and an unmistakable vibe of&nbsp;<em>&#8220;Relax, princess, you&#8217;re in the right place.&#8221;</em></p>

<p>You walk through the nail spa, with its rattan armchairs and oversized pendant lights, before reaching the private treatment room. If you&#8217;re anything like me, you&#8217;ll already be mentally booking yourself back in for a luxury pedicure. The&nbsp;<a href="https://thepeachmarlow.co.uk/eastern-feet-retreat/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Eastern Feet Retreat</a>&nbsp;– a 90-minute pedicure with an herb and Himalayan salt soak, hot stone massage and reflexology – has my name written all over it.</p>



<p>Pham performs the Korean Head Spa treatment herself and she&#8217;s seriously impressive.&nbsp;Originally from Vietnam, she moved to the UK in 2007 as an international student before making it her home.&nbsp;Calm, warm and effortlessly reassuring (not to mention blessed with enviable skin and hair, which never hurts in this industry), she quickly manages to unwind this slightly tightly wound customer after a hectic day.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-the-treatment">THE TREATMENT</h2>

<p>The idea behind the Korean Head Spa is that&nbsp;years of styling products, shampoo build-up and environmental pollution can affect the scalp, restricting healthy hair growth and circulation. Yet the scalp is often the most neglected part of our beauty routine.</p>



<p>After a consultation, where a digital camera gave me a close-up look at my hair follicles&nbsp;(I&#8217;ll spare you the photos), it became clear my fine hair was seriously underperforming, with just two or three hairs per follicle instead of four. My scalp also lacked the healthy, translucent glow that suggests even a passing interest in scalp care.</p>



<p>Suddenly there was nothing I wanted more than an exfoliation and deep cleanse, followed by an aloe vera, lemon and honey hair mask, ear Gua Sha massage, herbal hair treatment with steam, neck, shoulder and scalp massage, and water circulation head therapy.</p>

<p>Pham worked through the treatment using an array of traditional Korean tools, from long wooden spoons to what looked suspiciously like miniature drumsticks.&nbsp;It felt so blissfully relaxing that, um&#8230; I fell asleep.</p>



<p>Much as I&#8217;d love to give you a blow-by-blow account of every stage, there&#8217;s about half an hour that&#8217;s a complete blank&nbsp;–&nbsp;not ideal when you&#8217;re reviewing a treatment, but probably the biggest compliment you can pay a therapist.&nbsp;I woke feeling genuinely refreshed and, perhaps more importantly, my&nbsp;&#8216;after&#8217;&nbsp;scalp photos looked considerably healthier than the&nbsp;&#8216;before&#8217;&nbsp;ones. I&#8217;ll happily take both the relaxation and the circulation boost.</p>



<p>As with most treatments, consistency is key rather than a one-off visit, so I left armed with instructions to start using a scalp serum (the salon stocks Aveda and Ground Wellbeing). Anecdotally, Pham also told me she&#8217;s been treating a client with thinning hair who has seen significant regrowth over time. Given the current state of my own locks,&nbsp;I&#8217;m genuinely tempted to put that claim to the test.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-the-damage">THE DAMAGE</h2>



<p>You can choose from the&nbsp;15-step, two-hour Head Spa with facial (£215); the 12-step, 90-minute treatment(the one I reviewed, £150);&nbsp;or, if you&#8217;re short on time, the10-step, 70-minute Liteversion (£120).It&#8217;s certainly an indulgence, but for context that&#8217;s roughly half the price of a similar treatment in Marylebone.</p>

<p><strong>GOOD FOR:</strong>&nbsp;Early adopters who love discovering the next big beauty trend before everyone else. If thinning hair or scalp health is on your radar, this could be a welcome addition to your beauty arsenal. Or simply anyone looking to pair a day out in Marlow with a seriously relaxing treatment.</p>



<p><strong>NOT FOR:</strong>&nbsp;Those expecting easy parking.&nbsp;Spaces around the salon can be a little tight, particularly if you&#8217;re arriving in something Range Rover-sized.&nbsp;That said, there are several public car parks just a short stroll away – and yes, you&#8217;ll probably survive the walk.</p>
