Remote working’s great and all but there are some things that you just can’t flesh out properly over a Zoom call, never mind all the usual  technical difficulties (yes, you were on mute!) Enter OX9 Thame, a co-working space in the heart of Thame for those times when only an in-person meeting will do.

The gorgeous Georgian, Grade II listed building homes 13 office suites, each kitted out to a high specification with superfast wifi, video conferencing facilities, comfortable seating and proper desks – be warned, you may never want to return to working from your kitchen table again.

The vibe is homely yet professional – it’s attractive without putting style before practicality. We’ve worked here a few times now and loved it. There’s even a pretty courtyard for breaks or eating your lunch al-fresco.

Aside from the suites, there’s The Cellar – a larger room perfect for those board meeting style situations. It’s large enough for up to six people with conferencing facilities for virtual meetings.

There’s tea and coffee making facilities on-site and lunch can be arranged in advance, although frankly you’re bang in the centre of the town, with Rumsey’s café and chocolaterie a few doors down, Black Goo another 100 metres and Gloria’s for a proper Italian lunch. Mint Velvet is also literally around the corner. Just saying.
