PizzaExpress, Beaconsfield

Craving a little slice of deliciousness in your life? Fear not – PizzaExpress in Beaconsfield is back. And what’s more? It’s only gone and had a glow-up that looks as delicious as it tastes. Fancy a peep?

Sitting pretty in Beaconsfield’s Old Town, PizzaExpress has had quite the glow-up – and frankly, we’re smitten. Surrounded by chic cocktail bars and a hop, skip and prosecco flute from the Crazy Bear Hotel, it’s the perfect mid-point between glam and cosy – ideal for a pre-cocktail carb load or a post-party wind down.

The new look is a triumph. Think heritage charm meets modern moodboard: low ceilings, exposed beams and a roaring fire teamed with warm grey and terracotta tones, gold vinyl illustrations by the legendary Enzo Apicella (yes, that Italian design icon), and a soft glow that practically flatters everyone. Big, airy and brilliant for group bookings, it’s had the kind of revamp that makes you want to linger over your dough balls.

Outside? The terrace garden’s had its own facelift, complete with heaters, shelter and an army of blankets ready for those “let’s sit out, it’s not that cold” moments. It’s all-season al fresco at its best – and yes, the Aperols taste better in fresh air.

As for the food, it’s still the crowd-pleasing classic we know and love: perfect pizzas, punchy salads and desserts you’ll pretend to share. The vegan Giardiniera’s getting rave reviews, the Piccolo kids’ menu (pizza, pasta or salad plus a Bambinoccino for £8.50) keeps ankle-biters happy, and for the ‘can’t-be-bothered’ brigade – takeaway and delivery are your friends. Stylish, buzzy, and brilliantly dependable – Beaconsfield’s had its pizza moment, and we’re very much here for it.
