<p>Let’s start with something regal. Blenheim Palace Festival is a swish new summer addition to our local festival scene, and aren’t we lucky? Headliners include Pete Tong on <strong>27 Jun</strong>, Alanis Morisette on <strong>28 Jun</strong>, Grammy-nominated Teddy Swims on <strong>30 Jun</strong> and Katy Perry on <strong>1 Jul</strong>, ending with a (smooth) bang with Michael Bublé on <strong>4 Jul</strong>. Pete Tong’s bringing a full orchestra and Alanis has invited Skunk Anansie along, so it’s set to be a blast, all surrounded by some very fancy baroque architecture and seriously luxe touches. Fortnum &amp; Mason picnic in front of the palace anyone? That’s just one of the plush added extras that’ll up the ‘picky bits’ ante before the evening begins. Don’t mind if we do.</p>

<p>A hop over the Bucks/ Herts border, Chilfest champions throwbacks and the crème de la crème of tribute acts. From Amy Winehouse to Pulp and Coldplay, it’s like reliving your favourite Friday night <em>Top of the Pops</em> episodes, all weekend long. <p>Nineties kids are in for five nights of glorious riverside nostalgia at this year’s Henley festival. The floating stage will welcome Sugababes and Alex James’ Britpop Classical, while DJ Jo Whiley will be playing nineties anthems only. Eighties more your era? Boy George &amp; Culture Club and Lulu are also on the lineup. Or kick back and sip champagne to the soulful sound of Laura Mvula and Ronnie Scott’s jazz orchestra. There’s laughs care of Alan Davies, Russell Kane, Suzi Ruffell and Julian Clary and pop-up art galleries to marvel at too, not to mention fine dining and free-flowing fizz. Start planning a slinky outfit now; it’s the UK’s only black-tie music and arts festival.</p>

<p>The strapline is ‘the UK’s most warped village fête’, but think indie artists and musicians that push the envelope, rather than scones and bunting. Among the 2026 acts bringing a little joyful chaos to the tranquil Oxfordshire fields are The Maccabees, Two Door Cinema Club, The Wombats, CMAT and The Libertines. Alongside live DJs, you’ll be serenaded by the Oxford Symphony Orchestra and tickled by comedians like Reginald D Hunter and Ivo Graham. Mr Motivator’s in situ too; it’s a real melting pot.</p>

<p>The lineup’s finally landed, and you’re in for a treat for all the senses. Scissor Scissors, Carl Cox and The Last Dinner Party will bring the party to <a href="https://bucksoxon.muddystilettos.co.uk/best-places-to-live/oxfordshire/charlbury/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Charlbury</a>. Speaking of dinner, you’ll be well served: there’s feasting care of local Bucks chef Atul Kochhar and Rochelle Canteen founder Margot Henderson. The wellbeing offering is always a wonder here, and 2026 doesn’t disappoint. You can rest dance-weary legs in the Wandering Wild Sauna or hop on a paddle board and steam across the lake if there’s still juice in your tank.</p>

<p>Boutique glamping area nestled among the trees? Don&#8217;t mind if we do! Not to mention the world-class comedy and a free play area to keep the kids amused. The Stowaway festival on Blackpit Farm is set up for true ravers, new ravers and little ravers. You can dance to DJs until dawn, or alternatively, enjoy a bottomless brunch and trot off to the Wood-Fired hot tubs. </p>

<p>Generation Xers will love this step back in time as cover stars from the Smash Hits heyday (remember that?) trot out their greatest hits near Henley. The Human League and The Proclaimers&nbsp;<a href="https://south.rewindfestival.com/lineup" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">will lead the nostalgia trip this year</a>, as fans grow misty-eyed after a few Rebellion ales. Kim Wilde, Soul II Soul, Louise and Peter Andre are also on the bill – basically all of the posters on your childhood bedroom wall, in the flesh. Priceless. </p>

<p>Get in quick for this lo-fi indie festival held on a secret country estate just over the border in <a href="https://northantsleicsrutland.muddystilettos.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Northants</a>. This free-range festival offers more cabaret, talks, yoga, circus acts and comedy than you can shake a stick at – plus a healing meadow if you need a breather. </p>

<p>A festival with soul (and we don&#8217;t just mean the music). Greenbelt is where arts, activism, and faith collide in an inspiring <em>and </em>fun way. Picture this: you&#8217;re in the grounds of the beautiful Boughton House, the sun is shining, and music, thought-provoking talks, workshops and performances are all around you. The line-up for this year is a mixture of rock, folk, and pop music, so there&#8217;s something for everyone. The festival has a strong focus on inclusion, creativity, and community. A big ol&#8217; party with a purpose, essentially. </p>

<p>Big Feastival is storming into its fourteenth year with headliners including Bastille, Basement Jaxx, Rudimental, The Streets and Perrie Edwards, and as the festival’s name implies, there will be more than a few famous foodies cooking up a storm too. ‘Potato queen’ Poppy O’Toole and Michelin fave Sally Abé will pop in on Fri, Irish cooking legend Rachel Allen will be sharing her wisdom on Sat and award-winning Indian cook Meera Sodha is in the house/ field on Sun. That’s just a starter for ten, and there’s comedy sets throughout the weekend from Harriet Kemsley and Shappi Khorsandi, plus Mr Tumble will be in residence to entertain the little ones. The Blur bassist knows how to give us a good time.</p>

<p>Head to Found Festival on the Claydon Estate, near Buckingham, for a bank hol extravaganza of mindfulness, music, workshops and comedy. This friendly festival is all about helping people reconnect, so bring the whole family, from babies to grandparents. Get stuck in and join the choir, pick up a paintbrush or participate in a hands-on art or craft workshops in the heritage village. There is an eclectic musical line-up ranging from Americana, Folk and Country, to Blues, World , and Roots &#8211; a bit of something for everyone!</p>

<p>Set on the banks of the Thames in South Oxfordshire, this is a free family folk festival with local bands and plenty of craft beer. Bunk Fest started from a small marquee in a pub car park over 20 years ago and now fills Kine Croft park (they grow up so fast). This year’s headliners are yet to be revealed, so watch this space, but your beer will always be cold here which is frankly a summer festival draw in itself. </p>
