If it's new, exciting and worth sharing, it's right here. All hail the Muddy newsflash!

There are a couple of new openings that have come onto my radar this week. Sugar crazed teens will be jumping up and down with excitement (literally) to know that Bubbleology, which sells bubble tea and waffles, is now officially open for business on the High Street, Oxford. The store was opened by Love Island contestant Arabella Chi – it’s so Gen Z, it hurts. And there’s exciting news over in Deddington as a brand new bakery is set to open soon. Knife & Fork Bakery, from the owner of award-winning Knife & Fork supper club, will sell 100% gluten free produce, made traditionally with no chemicals, additives or gums. Bravo.
Chippy gets cultural
Calling all Cotswolds-based culture vultures! A brand new arts festival is coming to Chipping Norton on Sat 5 October. Created by CNArts, a network of Chippy-based local artists and arts professionals, Chipping Norton Arts Festival will have the theme of ‘Connect’ and celebrate creativity and visual arts in the area with free workshops, theatre, screenings, talks and more held in venues across the town. The festival’s headliner is a major installation, Of All The People In All The World, created by renowned arts group Stan’s Café in the Town Hall. The piece has never before been seen in Oxfordshire, and uses grains of rice to bring abstract stats about the world to life. cnarts.org
Fancy a swim?
I’m a fan of open-water swimming (as long as I’ve remembered my wetsuit!), so I’m very excited about the Milton Keynes Open Water Swimming club hosting open water sessions over summer at Willen Lake. Sessions are running on Thurs 6pm – 8pm or there are early morning stints at the weekend 6.30am – 9.30am. Feeling sleepy? Don’t worry, a splash in the water will wake you up good and proper. miltonkeynesows.co.uk
Arty antics in Marlow
A pop-up arts space, The Chixwane Collective, has just opened up in Marlow with the aim of introducing new forms of art to the community. The studio hosts workshops on ceramics, photography, pottery painting, sewing, jewellery-making, glass art and also has a selection of locally made handmade items, gifts and bisqueware available to buy and paint in the studio. As well as regular workshops, the space will also host children’s pottery parties (sounds good) and Wine & Design adult painting evenings (sounds even better). dancingteapot.co.uk
