Need a spa day? Who doesn&#8217;t, love. We donned our white robes and slipper and had a nosey around the best local retreats and hotels to unearth some cracking winter deals for all you pampered princesses out there. What do we want? Facials! When do we want them? NOW!

The Winter Wish Spa day (£110) at the elegant country house hotel&#8217;s spa includes a 55 minute treatment (you can&#8217;t beat Margaret Dabbs pedicure, I say), a 2 course lunch and full use of the chi-chi facilities. For an extra £35, they&#8217;ll bung in another treatment. It runs until 31 March. Need more deets? Less than one year old and so damn pretty it should have its own full length mirror (see my <a href="https://bucksoxon.muddystilettos.co.uk/wellbeing/muddy-tries-cliveden-spa/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">review</a>), this multi-million spa revamp at Cliveden on the Bucks/Berks border is not big on bargains, but there is a Dusk Delight spa evening that includes a 60 minute massage, full use of spa facilities, lifestyle classes and fitness room, plus a Wellness bag to take home for £140 per person. Arrive from 5pm (4pm at weekends).

This is a nice idea to chase away Monday blues &#8211; Calcot Manor in the Cotswolds offer a Sunday Spa deal. It&#8217;s £259 for two including an overnight stay, breakfast, a treatment each and use of the spa facilities. I can think of worse ways to start the week.

There&#8217;s something for everyone here, from the day spa deal (from £120 depending on your treatment choices) to an evening spa session (after 5pm, from £75 including treatment plus dinner). But my vote goes to the half-day deal. It&#8217;s £105 including a 1hr treatment plus &#8211; yum &#8211; afternoon tea. You can do it 10am-2pm Monday- Friday so that&#8217;s school run-friendly timing too.

Now you&#8217;re talking! Short of time? Try the Luxury Morning or Afternoon Escape (£110) mini-version instead.

There&#8217;s currently a half-price midweek spa day deal at this classic health retreat &#8211; from £54.50 you get to lounge around in a robe from 9am-6pm, buffet lunch and full use of the facilities. Or in February, you can do a couple Valentine spa day (£115) or either a one-night (£399) or two-night Valentine&#8217;s break (£679).

The luxury Cotwolds hotel&#8217;s weekday Silent Night spa day &#8211; so named because you float home afterwards and sleep like a baby &#8211; isn&#8217;t cheap at £195, but it is packed with treatments (a facial, a head massage, a full body massage and a body scrub), plus lunch and full use of the facilities.

The winter spa day (£139) at this Cotswolds getaway includes either a 60 min massage or facial treatment, lunch and use of the gym and spa facilities. It&#8217;s available until March. Feeling romantic? For £320 per couple, you can do the Valentine&#8217;s spa day (between 11 and 18 Feb, except Sat 17 Feb) which involves dual treatment rooms, sharing dishes and champagne. If he gets on your nerves you could always hide in the ladies&#8217; changing room&#8230;
