<p><a href="https://www.stonor.com/tumblestone-hollow/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Tumblestone Hollow </a>is a gorgeous woodland playground for kids, set in the lush parklands of this stunning stately home. There’s a huge wooden treehouse with climbing walls, wobbly walkways and ziplines to keep kids busy, while Mum and Dad can sidle up to the <a href="https://www.stonor.com/tumblestone-hollow/food-and-drink/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Rumble Hut </a>and order a steaming cup of Illy coffee (Heads up &#8211; there’s tea, hot chocolate and freshly baked wood-fired pizzas too).</p>

<p>Just 10 mins walk from Bicester Village, this playground has been having a serious makeover, which is due to be completed in the next couple of weeks (just in time for the peak of the school holidays). A sneak look at the design pics reveals a vibrantly coloured climbing tower with rope walks and curly slides, and there’s even talk of splash park further down the track. But what we’ve already got our beady eye on is the <a href="https://garthparkkitchen.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Garth Park Kitchen</a>, which has set up shop in the pavilion nearby and offers scrummy food and top-notch coffee. Let the kids wear themselves out on the fancy new playground while you keep a watchful eye and sup a frothy latté. Multitasking at its finest!</p>

<p>We’re already big fans of this magical indoor soft-play space with its chilled vibes, and 360° squishy fun – rebuilt in Wycombe Estate&#8217;s Walled Garden which at one time was a miniature donkey stud (fun fact). There’s not a garishly coloured piece of plastic to be seen here – it’s all about the muted colours, natural materials and fresh, contemporary Scandi design. Session numbers are deliberately kept low, the lighting and background music soft, so the atmosphere is always calm and relaxing. The only thing we love more than this elevated soft play, is the option to boot the kids outside for controlled free range fun in the adventure playground. The best bit? You can supervise and finish afresh Origin coffee from the Walled Garden café (and maybe even scoff one of their delish toasties too).</p>

<p>It’s the Summer of Play at this stunning chateau-style stately home, with garden games, outdoor theatre and circus workshops to entertain the kids, as well as the famous woodland adventure playground to swing, climb and slide the day away. Sitting on three levels, you’ll find the <a href="https://waddesdon.org.uk/your-visit/shop-eat-stay/the-stables-cafe/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Stables Café </a>at the bottom for lunch but also serving up coffees to go (don’t panic, a buggy will take you back up to the top). There’s a little <a href="https://waddesdon.org.uk/your-visit/shop-eat-stay/food-to-go/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Coffee Bar </a>just outside the Manor Shop too, so you’re never too far from a hot cup of java.</p>

<p>Parking galore, ancient woodlands criss-crossed with play trails, a high ropes course and a fairytale wooden adventure playground, this spot is already ticking all the boxes. Throw in the elegant café in the heart of the woods with its enormous outdoor seating area, and we reckon it’s pretty close to perfection.</p>

<p>There’s plenty to keep kids of all ages entertained here, from great lakeside walks (flat, so great for pushchairs and scooters) and bike hire to a Go Ape high ropes course and the adventure playground. For the grown-up kids, there are two cafés – one either side of the lake – to stock up on snacks and hot drinks. The <a href="http://blackparkcafe.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">San Remo</a> café is fine for basics, but we say head to the snazzy Scandi-style <a href="https://countryparks.buckinghamshire.gov.uk/black-parks-new-cafe-building/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Four Seasons </a>café which opened in spring with loads of seating inside and out, and a handy serving hatch for quick coffees to go.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-higginson-park-marlow"><a href="https://www.visitthames.co.uk/listing/higginson-park-and-court-garden-leisure-complex/145881101/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">HIGGINSON PARK,</a> Marlow</h3>



<p>This popular family park runs along the River Thames and has miles of green space, a waterside path to wander along and a freshly revamped adventure playground with pirate ship climbing frame, a jumping trampoline and easy access to public loos. But we’ve saved the best ‘til last – to one side you have the dog-friendly <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DKT8pLdojtM/?hl=en" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">M Café,</a> complete with plush kids’ indoor play area, wisteria-draped terrace, freshly made coffee and all the pastries you can scoff in one sitting. On the other there’s <a href="https://www.instagram.com/littlegreenboatcompany/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Green Boat Company</a> café, with a bulging board of coffee choices, including iced lattés to beat the summer heat. You’re literally surrounded by great coffee &#8211; does it get any better than that?</p>

<p>This magical themed farm in West Oxfordshire was set up with accessible family fun in mind. Chock-full of interactive and sensory play areas, this is good old-fashioned outdoor play, with crawl tunnels, climbing walls, a dinosaur zone and lots of fluffy farm animals to befriend. When energy levels flag, the <a href="https://www.fairytalefarm.co.uk/explore/shop-cafe/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Beanstalk Café and Shop </a> has snacks, cakes and – of course – coffee to recharge those batteries for more exploring.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-cotswold-wildlife-park-burford"><a href="https://www.cotswoldwildlifepark.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">COTSWOLD WILDLIFE PARK,</a> Burford</h3>

<p>There’s so much to see and do here, from eyeballing giraffes from the tree-top walkway, to feeding the penguins, to admiring the meerkats and lions. As well as all the animal encounters, there’s the Skymaze adventure playground to explore with interconnecting treehouses, jungle bridges and slides and a birds’ eye view over the park. Grown-ups can grab a coffee from the Oak Tree restaurant, by the rear of the Manor House, and oversee the fun from the lawns below. On busy days you’re spoiled for choice, with kiosks near the camels and opposite the red pandas where you can also pick up your caffeine fix.</p>

<p>Volleyball and tennis courts, a miniature railway, splash park, mini-golf, skate park and three kids’ play areas – is there anything this park doesn’t offer? Before you say coffee, they’ve got that covered too. Community run <a href="https://courtside.uk/cutteslowe/cafe" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Courtside at Cuttleslowe</a> serves up locally sourced baps and sandwiches alongside barista-poured brews from The Oxford Coffee Company. Like your latte super-hot with a shot of vanilla syrup, extra foam on the side? Fussy coffee lovers can rejoice, as they pride themselves on making your cup EXACTLY how you like it.</p>
