Our &#8216;hood continues its celeb hot streak as James Corden prepares for his move from LA to the Oxfordshire/Berkshire border following his emotional exit from his US hit The Late Late Show. For those who haven’t heard, he’s heading to Remenham, near Henley. He and wife Julia bought Sxities pad Templecombe House for a cool £8.5m. They’re not going to live in it though. The plan is to demolish it (more&#8217;s the pity &#8211; it&#8217;s gorgeous) and start again from scratch to create a six-bed home. Having had to ditch plans for an 11.5m indoor pool, yoga studio, gym, and bathroom, opening onto a terrace and outdoor 20m long swimming pool, their revised plans have finally been rubber-stamped by Wokingham Borough Council. House-warming party incoming!

OK so she&#8217;s not quite Kelly Hoppen, but Essex&#8217;s queen of decluttering and upcycling, Stacey Solomon, has quite the following and is launching her affordable homeware collection with <a href="https://direct.asda.com/george/home/D26,default,sc.html?cmpid=ppc-_-geor-_--_--_-george%20home-_-dskwid-s43700077734327669_dc&amp;utm_campaign=b:_Home_-_Accessories_-_All_Customers&amp;utm_source=google&amp;utm_medium=cpc&amp;ds_rl=1254577&amp;ds_rl=1238816&amp;gclid=Cj0KCQjwgNanBhDUARIsAAeIcAs0JSIWNpaDLW4cyhJXQyhhn8rNrwiYwdz4dP4MsIGTcKSgxG4kL1IaAs9EEALw_wcB&amp;gclsrc=aw.ds" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">George Home</a> and is setting up shop in at Asda in Bletchley this Thursday (7 Sep, 9-10 am). She&#8217;ll debut her 200+ stylish pieces with a selection of autumnal themes on par with her minimalist aesthetic – think rattan pumpkin accessories, faux fur throws, and chic kitchenware.

We’ve waited patiently (okay, fine, we’ve been counting down the days) for The Bell at Charlbury’s refurb in the trusty hands of Daylesford owners Lord and Lady Bamford and it&#8217;s happening this week. The 17th century inn has had a head-to-toe makeover, leaving it with a 45-cover pub and 40-cover dining room for private events, plus a gorgeous orchard garden and 12 bedrooms above the pub. Daylesford of course has form in the Cotswolds pub game &#8211; <a href="https://thefoxatoddington.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Fox at Oddington</a> became an instant hit with locals after opening just last year, and Muddy Award winner <a href="https://thewildrabbit.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Wild Rabbit</a> is a huge success too. 



Muddy had a fab Christmas drinks party at Little Clarendon Street’s vino gem, <a href="https://www.wilding.wine" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Wilding,</a> and its reputation stretches as far as London where founder Kent Barker has just plucked two foodie talents and mates Michael Carr and Ben Wood to head up the kitchen. Michael, a Great British Menu 2019 contestant, and Ben, who head chef at Michelin-starred tapas spot <a href="https://www.barrafina.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Barrafina</a>, previously worked together at the Sky Garden’s Fenchurch Restaurant so they&#8217;re already a dream team. Working with Kent, the pair have curated a menu of seasonal British dishes that complement the 400+ wine list –it was launched on Aug 30, so sharpen those elbows and put it to the test.

Expect four courses taking guests on a culinary journey through France’s finest flavours. Renowned chef Galmiche has worked at Le Gavroche under the tutelage of Michel Roux as well as three Michelin star Marc Meneau in Veselay. Price £90 per person and we&#8217;re betting worth every penny.



Sauna in the countryside with an on-site chef… I’m listening. See out the summer in style with a dip at <a href="https://www.farm-fit.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Fitness at the Farm</a>’s private hire sauna experience, which comes with free reign to the wood-fired sauna, hot tub and shower. Plus (as of yesterday), will offer hearty menus freshly whipped up by head chef of community pub, The Plough at Hanney, Owain Jones.

It’s no secret Marlow knows how to throw an arty party. Latest to join the town’s three stellar galleries is <a href="https://haydengallery.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Hayden Gallery,</a> which opened this past Friday. The fabulous brainchild of Bucks artist and sculptor Tracey Hayden, the high street gallery has been in the making for 28 years and promises cool original artwork from both under-the-radar creators and more established artists; plus you’ll find Tracey strolling about as its artist-in-residence.

A <a href="https://oxford-coveredmarket.co.uk/news-and-events/news/award-winning-design-company-to-pilot-new-outdoor-market-space/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">£6.87m plan</a> to create a people friendly seating area outside Oxford Covered Market has been green-lit with plans to trial the project, which will limit cars moving in and out of the street during the day and let kids roam free, as early as Spring 2024. 



It&#8217;s officially time to start the tinsel-talk and we’re happy to bring the great news that Oxford Christmas Market will go ahead with a new organiser, <a href="https://lsdpromotions.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">LSD</a> (as in the initials of the founders &#8211; honestly) following former organiser Nicole Rahimi indefinitely cancelling the artisan market last month. Whoopo!
