<p>Buckle up, buttercup, because the <a href="https://www.thecraftshows.co.uk/henley2025/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Henley Country Craft Show</a> <strong>(Fri 22 &#8211; Mon 25 Aug)</strong> is a whole vibe. It&#8217;s like Etsy exploded slap-bang in the middle of the gorgeous Stonor Park, so prepare yourself for an Insta-candy line up of artisan stalls selling everything from handmade soaps and ceramics to jewellery and baked goods. </p>



<p>In fact, there&#8217;s over 200 indie stalls to mooch around, and when you&#8217;re done, delicious street food, craft demos, live music, and toooons of stuff to help the kids burn off some steam awaits (hello brand new circus!)  Grab your boots, bring your tote, and prepare to say “I <em>need</em> this” at least 47 times. You&#8217;re welcome. Here&#8217;s what you can expect from the county&#8217;s most epic shopping event.</p>

<p>Filling the massive indoor marquees as well as the cute little outdoor stalls, indie businesses are popping up in their droves, with every booth run by a local legend who can crochet faster than you can say “handmade with love”. Get ready to flash the plastic. We&#8217;re talking artisan soaps that look good enough to eat (don’t do it), home accessories, garden ornaments, jewellery, clothing, soft furnishings, glassware, art and bespoke gifts. Phewww.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s the kind of place you&#8217;re warmly invited to talk to the traders, learn more about their work and gain an insight into the pieces themselves. So no need to hustle around your nearest mega mall. As a self-confessed jewellery junkie I&#8217;ll be heading straight to <a href="https://www.milinalondon.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Milina</a> and <a href="https://moodytom.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Moody Tom</a> for their gorgeous gemstones and arm candy. I&#8217;m loving the recycled metal wildlife sculptures at <a href="https://www.zimbolic.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Zimbolic</a>, and the ceramics and illustrations from <a href="https://www.lorraineberkshire-roe.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Lorraine Berkshire-Roe</a> are as cute as a button. <p>Enjoy a petting zoo, classic fairground rides, giant outdoor games, face glitter, pottery painting, and two brand spanking new activities – the cork shooter and circus from Big Top Mania. Test your mettle on the outside trapeze rig, circus skills equipment, and mega balls. Bonus points if you manage to tire them out enough for an early bedtime – a true bank holiday miracle! The best part? Under 16s go totally <em>free</em>.</p>

<p>Obviously the children&#8217;s adventure playground, <a href="https://www.stonor.com/tumblestone-hollow/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Tumblestone Hollow</a>, is a godsend if a meltdown is on the cards (you&#8217;ll need to buy separate tickets from Stonor and I definitely recommend booking ahead). The playground itself is packed with twisty slides, zip lines, rope bridges, water pumps and treehouses &#8211;  aimed at 4-12 year olds. That being said, with all the above going on, they definitely won&#8217;t be bored.</p>

<p>Spending dosh in hungry work. Time to splash a bit more. There&#8217;s an impressive line-up of street food stalls including crowd-pleasers (hot-dogs, burgers, pizza et al), but really, the iconic food and drink marquee is where it&#8217;s at. Try before you buy at a range of vendors flogging everything from flavoured cheese, oils, antipasti, jams, sauces, chutneys, and sweet treats. Naturally, there will be plenty of booze flying around too. What? It&#8217;s a long weekend after all.</p>

<p>Ready to unlock a hidden superpower you never knew you had? Learn from and watch the most talented of master crafters specialising in Britain’s traditional and heritage crafts. New for 2025, Becky Paton Mosaics will be conducting a 2D nature inspired contemporary mosaic demo that can be hung in the home or garden. There&#8217;s also chainsaw wood sculpting (think I&#8217;ll leave that one to the pros), willow basket making, love spoons, wooden furniture making, and more. Watch out Pinterest, there might just be a new DIY diva in town.</p>

<p>Ahhhh, <a aria-label="Stonor Park (opens in a new tab)" href="https://www.stonor.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Stonor Park</a>, how we love thee. Find it just outside Henley at the base of the Chiltern Hills, surrounded by incredible countryside, snaking vineyards, and some pretty stonking vistas. There&#8217;s ample parking, and plenty happening across the long weekend for all ages. </p>



<p>Once you&#8217;ve shopped &#8217;til you&#8217;ve quite literally dropped, kick back with an ice cream in the sun as you listen to music from international vintage band, Nouveau Lounge (brand new for this year!) Think unique arrangements of modern pop songs played old-school style. Additionally, if your furry best friend is at risk of cabin fever, well-behaved pooches are welcome on leads too. They just can&#8217;t go into the food hall, petting zoo, or children&#8217;s playground for obvious reasons.</p>
