<p>Back for the fourth year, <a href="https://wildcanvas.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Wild Canvas</a> is the perfect opportunity to dip your toe in the festival scene, escape with the whole family and switch off for a few days in the Bedfordshire countryside. Stay in a traditional tipi, take a dip in the river, chill out with some wellness sessions while the kids try out some fun activities, before top DJs get the party started into the night. <h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-riverside-location">RIVERSIDE LOCATION</h2>



<p>This pop-up summer campsite couldn&#8217;t have a better location than the grounds of the grand, historic <a href="https://www.turveyhouse.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Turvey House Estate</a>, a Grade I-listed country pile in 150 acres of picturesque parkland with the River Great Ouse running through it. Hire a tipi or yurt (created by the organisers of Glasto&#8217;s tipi field, no less), or BYOT (bring your own tent) or campervan and pitch up on the spacious, flat grassland site with river views. You can even book your own tipi village if you&#8217;re coming with a larger group. </p>

<p>It&#8217;s a prime spot for a bit of messing around on the river, with the chance to try some wild swimming (challenge yourself to swim the length of the site to get to the bar!), paddleboarding or kayaking. And unlike large festival venues you won&#8217;t have to schlepp for hours in the car to get there. It&#8217;s just 60 miles London and around 50 miles (give or take) from Cambridge and Oxford, with Bedford train station just a few minutes&#8217; drive away. </p>

<p>Love the idea of going to a festival, but not a fan of big crowds? Wild Canvas brings all the laid back vibes without the hustle and bustle of large festivals. And for the tunes? A host of world-class DJs are on hand to play everything from lazy afternoon sessions by the river to groovy tunes in the courtyard over the weekends to get the party started.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">WELLNESS EXPERIENCES</h2>



<p>You&#8217;ll naturally get that &#8216;ahhh&#8217; feeling as you immerse yourself in the beautiful natural surroundings of Wild Canvas. But to really relax and recharge, you can book into one of the many wellness activities, from yoga sessions, sound healing and cacao ceremonies to pilates and paddleboarding. Plus there are adults&#8217; and kids&#8217; Capoeira classes, House HIIT, Drum and Bass Boot Camp and a Sacred Rave! </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">HOME COMFORTS</h2>



<p>Tipis and yurts sleep four, are furnished with bedding and have their own outdoor fire pits and seating. Plus you&#8217;ll get a complimentary buggy transfer from your car, to save you lugging your stuff across a field. And if you BYOT, the boutique campsite not only has hot water washing up sinks, but private cubicle showers, flushing and compost toilets as well as a central campfire in the evenings, where you can meet fellow campers and get into the Wild Canvas community spirit. Unlike a regular festival which lasts just a few days, you can stay for as long as you like here &#8211; from three nights, to two weeks &#8211; it&#8217;s up to you!</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">FOOD AND DRINK</h2>



<p>Just like at any festival, you&#8217;ll have the choice of street-food style fare, courtesy of the on-site Riverfront Café by <a href="https://www.thebrotherssupper.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Brothers Supper</a> &#8211; from rustic BBQ food and wood fired pizzas, to wholesome and healthy options. And you won&#8217;t have to forgo your morning caffeine hit, as you&#8217;ll be able to grab a barista coffee and breakfast every morning. Meanwhile, you&#8217;ll find local ales, wines, spirits and signature cocktails (at the weekends) the home-made festival style bar.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">FAMILY FUN</h2>



<p>There are plenty of free and paid-for activities to choose from to keep kids of all ages happy, from paddle boarding lessons and circus skills, to free drop-in craft sessions (making everything from dreamcatchers to nature crowns) and nature club. </p>

<p>Plus they&#8217;ll be able to get involved in creating a giant grafitti mural, take part in family yoga, games and storytelling and don their best costumes for a Wild Canvas favourite &#8211; the Superhero Parade and Kids&#8217; Disco on Sundays. </p>

<p><strong>Camping starts at £20 per adult (£7 for kids), per night from Mon &#8211; Weds, and £30 for adults (£10 for kids) from Thurs-Sun.
