We’re on the final countdown to the biggest knees-up on the planet (eek!). <a href="https://glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Glastonbury</a> – the not-so-little Somerset festival that basically becomes its own country for five glorious days – is back from&nbsp;25–29 June, and whether you’re a hardened mud-splasher or a boutique-bell-tent-only kinda gal (no judgement here), it’s time to swot up.



Sprawled across 900 acres of the Vale of Avalon (a fancy way of saying&nbsp;it&#8217;s massive), the line-up is bursting, the circus fields are buzzing, and even the kids get their own enchanted playground. Pack up your stilettos, chuck in the glitter, and prep for sensory overload – here’s how to Glasto like a goddess.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-pitchin-up">PITCHIN&#8217; UP</h2>

Spoiler alert: it’s tent city. Unless you’ve splurged on a boutique set-up with actual mattresses (hello, luxury!), you’ll be wrestling guy ropes and wondering why the pegs don’t match the diagram. Tip? Get there early and stake your claim&nbsp;away&nbsp;from Pennard Hill (aka the ankle-snapping summit of doom). Mark your patch with something flamboyant – inflatable flamingo, sequinned flag, whatever floats your festival boat.



Glasto Hack:&nbsp;Bring a butcher’s hook to hang a mirror (you’re welcome), never ever&nbsp;put your bag on the floor of a loo, and slide into the showers at dawn if you want a fighting chance at hot water. Flip flops or sliders are your shower MVPs – unless you enjoy walking barefoot into the abyss. (You don’t.)

There are two types of Glasto-goers: the clipboard-wielding, setlist-savvy logistics queen and the laid-back rosé sipper who spends four days horizontal on a picnic blanket. We see you both.



Whichever camp you’re in, here’s your&nbsp;Muddy Packing Essentials:

<li>For beauty sleep:&nbsp;Eye mask + ear plugs</li>



<li>For survival: Tissues, electrolytes, paracetamol, blister plasters (your Fitbit will hit 25k steps daily)</li>



<li>For comfort:&nbsp;Cosy jumpers (you’ll strip them off by 10am), yoga kit, swimwear (yes really – saunas are a thing)</li>



<li>For sanity:&nbsp;Portable phone charger (though don’t expect signal), a proper water bottle, hand gel, and allll the snacks</li>



<li>For fashion:&nbsp;Channel 2005 Kate Moss. Wellies are essential, jeans are not (nobody likes soggy denim)</li>



<li>For flair:&nbsp;A camping chair or blanket if you’re planning on seeing comedy, cabaret or just can’t deal with standing</li>



<li>And finally:&nbsp;Bumbag. Always the bumbag.</li>

Get thee to Spotify, pronto. Whether you’re buzzing for The 1975, Kaiser Chiefs or Neil Young (yes, really), Glastonbury’s&nbsp;real&nbsp;magic is in the smaller stages. The Woodsies Stage will have you dancing like a Scissor Sister; Arcadia’s the place for thumping electronic beats (and, er, flame-throwing spiders); Avalon’s got the folky, soulful vibes.



Top tip:&nbsp;don’t try to do it all.&nbsp;Pick two bands near-ish each other, commit, and let the rest be glorious chaos. Do. Not. Watch. It. All. Through. Your. Phone. Live in the moment, grab a cider, and vibe it out. And for the love of glitter, agree a meeting point with your mates unless you want to see them again in July.

No need to book ahead – just stumble in and let the wellness wash over you. Fancy yoga? Energy balancing? A bit of barefoot dancing in a yurt? It&#8217;s all here. Just&nbsp;get there early&nbsp;to bag the good stuff. Your frazzled festival self will thank you.

Got small humans in tow? First: you’re brave. Second: you’re brilliant. And third: you’ll want to make a beeline for the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/areas/the-green-fields/green-kids-area/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Green Kids Field</a>&nbsp;– a magical, shady haven packed with crafts, play zones, and the occasional hobbit gate. There’s no need to book anything (we&nbsp;love&nbsp;that), and it’s the perfect place to give the little ones some freedom while you grab a coffee. Or a frozen margarita.
